Operationally, Rainbet is a crypto-only casino and full sportsbook launched in 2023 and run by RBGAMING N.V., a company registered in Curaçao (registration 163051) holding an Anjouan Gaming Authority B2C licence, ALSI-152406029-FI2, issued 14 June 2024 and running to June 2027. The in-house Originals — Dice, Crash, Plinko, Mines, Limbo, Chicken Cross, Hilo, Tower, Blackjack and several more — run on a published provably fair system alongside third-party slots, live dealer tables (roulette, baccarat, blackjack, craps, Sic Bo and others), and a genuinely broad sportsbook covering mainstream and niche sports plus esports.

The named-CEO situation is unusual enough to flag on its own. FinTelegram, an investigative outlet covering offshore gambling and fintech, has published a series of pieces questioning whether "John Evans," presented publicly as Rainbet's CEO and co-founder, is a real, identifiable person at all, and describing Rainbet's corporate structure — split across a Curaçao registration and an Anjouan licence — as regulatory arbitrage designed to limit accountability. A separate, independent investigation by the football-focused outlet Attacking Football into Rainbet's sports-betting marketing was followed by a large-scale DDoS attack on that outlet's website starting in late September 2025, which FinTelegram covered as retaliation, though direct attribution to Rainbet itself was not established. We are reporting these as documented claims from named outlets, not as facts we independently verified — but the pattern (an opaque leadership identity, an investigative piece followed by an attack on the investigator's site) is the kind of thing worth knowing before you deposit, not after.

The streamer marketing itself draws its own scrutiny. Rainbet has run large sponsorship deals with streamers on platforms with substantial teenage viewerships, and has been the subject of specific claims — including a widely circulated video essay — alleging its marketing reaches and appeals to underage viewers, a live risk category for every gambling-adjacent streaming sponsorship, not unique to Rainbet but sharper here given the scale of its Kick and Twitch presence. Separately, Rainbet is not licensed to operate in Australia and has been named by Australian commentators as an illegal offshore operator actively promoted to Australian audiences despite the Interactive Gambling Act 2001 prohibiting exactly that.
